On February 6, 2023, two major earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.6 and 7.7 occurred in Turkey. Eleven provinces were directly affected by the earthquakes, while many others were indirectly impacted. According to official data, 57,537 people lost their lives, and 107,213 were injured. Unofficial data suggests that 3.3 million people were forced to migrate from the earthquake-affected region.
